Bio
Claire Littleton was born in Australia to Carole Littleton and Christian Shephard, though her father was rarely in the picture after she was about two. Her family told her that he was killed in a car accident and she believed that until she was a teenager. Claire and her mother were in a car accident that left her mother in a coma, and Christian visited Australia to tell his daughter to turn off the life support. When she refused he revealed who he was, but she never knew his name. After the accident, Claire found out that she was pregnant, and wanted to abort, however her boyfriend convinced her to keep the baby. She agreed, then he left and her only option was to give the baby up for adoption. When she visited a psychic, he told her that she had to be the person to raise her baby, and gave her money and a plane ticket to fly from Australia to L.A. She thought he’d finally come around and found a family for her to give her baby to; however he knew the flight was going to crash, and that was his only guarantee that she would raise the baby. When the flight crashed, she was helped by Jack Shephard, her half brother, though she does not know who he is. At the time of the crash she was almost full term in her pregnancy, and she gave birth to a son she named Aaron.
